Connect All Schools
Global competence is an important 21st Century skill necessary for all students to understand and interact effectively with the world. Despite the importance of global competency and engagement, US teachers are not aware of the many options for introducing their students to global issues, world languages, online international interaction and physical exchanges.
Therefore a number of organizations linking US schools with others around the world are coming together in a new "Connect All Schools" consortium to meet a very specific goal ---To connect every school in the US with at least one other school somewhere in the world through virtual (and other) exchanges by 2016. Connect All Schools Initiative has an interactive website (http://www.connectallschools.org/home), built to enable schools to indicate how they are connected to the world and for new teachers, school administrators and parents to work with consortium partners on building new links. Please join Focal Point Global and the Connect All Schools consortium in our efforts to connect all US schools globally. Share your stories about Focal Point Global and/or learn how to partner with us and other organizations.
